Exploring stories is what we're all about. We all start our lives as something, whether that's adventurers, students, story tellers or makers. Journeys are not linear and some of us change our minds day to day. That's what we're looking to explore. We delve into the origins and evolutions of creators, makers, designers and entrepreneurs exploring their journeys from inception to their current state. Whether their paths have remained constant or diverged into new realms, Isla captures these narratives

We're looking to converse with creators, makers, artists, entrepreneurs and anyone with a story. We want to know what they started life as and how they've got to where they are now. We've found that these stories can inspire others to explore new ideas and realise that they can start that business or change careers. There's not enough creators sharing their stories and creative processes and we want to get them out there, they should be celebrated!

We're also looking to spotlight products, emphasizing their transformation, whether through upcycling, recycling, or innovative pivots. Our broad scope is intentional, fostering exploration and celebrating the continuous evolution and change in design and creativity.

At Isla, our initial approach to interviews is through written questions, allowing for stories to be shared in many medium. We're starting here but have exciting plans to expand into in-person and more in-depth, long-format interviews as we grow. This evolution in our interview style mirrors our commitment to showcasing the diverse and dynamic journeys of our featured creatives.
